Overview
The natural wines of Quinta da Raza symbolize our desire to honor our ancestors by returning to an ancestral way of producing wine. Our commitment to a holistic view of agriculture and environmental sustainability is also well reflected on the labels of these natural wines, where we pay tribute to insects – ladybugs, longhorn beetles, and carabids – precious biological helpers in organic pest control and show the date of construction of our centuries-old granite wine presses used for foot treading of red grapes.
These are wines that demonstrate a minimal intervention approach, allowing nature and wild yeasts to dictate the fermentation, which finishes in the bottle without the addition of sulfites and without filtration.
