Talha Wines Tasting in Centennial Cellar - Gerações da Talha

A journey between the tranquillity of the Alqueva and the wonders of the Serra do Mendro, discovering two different ways of producing wine in the region.

Discover the ancestral production of Talha wine inherited from the Romans. You'll also get to know Herdade do Sobroso and its famous wines, accompanied by marvellous Alentejo cuisine.

In the Serra you can see wild animals and at the dam on board a boat enjoy a wine tasting at sunset.

In Vila de Frades, you can visit the ancient Roman villae of São Cucufate, where you can clearly see the remains of a farmhouse that once exploited these soils to produce food and also its wine. Since that time, around two thousand years ago, wine has never ceased to be produced following the same process and techniques inherited by this civilisation. Venture on this journey between the past and the present, tasting the marvellous Alentejo gastronomy and sampling authentic Talha wines.
